Carmans Group launched BLUEBLOCKS on International Earth Day, 22 April 2015. "The most CO2-friendly concrete stacking block is the result of a consistent Blue Technology vision," says company director Stefan Carmans.
To mark the Cleantech Community Limburg meeting on 21 April, a "BLUEBLOCKS" monument was unveiled at the Greenville building in Houthalen-Helchteren. Pictured (from left): Luc Driesen (Greenville), Stefan Carmans, mayor Alain Yzermans, Yves Liberloo and Etienne Schouterden (Carmans NV)
Last night (21.04.2015), the BLUEBLOCKS range of concrete stacking blocks was officially launched at Greenville – center of cleantech – in Houthalen, with the symbolic handover of the first stacking block to chairman Alain Ysermans and general manager Luc Driesen of Greenville. Made with renewable energy and renewable raw materials, this concrete product is the most CO2-friendly of its kind on the market.
Blueblocks are the next generation of concrete stacking blocks. They offer everything existing products do – and more. They are ideal for building storage and transhipment areas, partition walls and halls, but that is not all: round studs make placement even easier, patented gabions let you finish the walls for visual or acoustic effect, and our stacking blocks are made with renewable energy and renewable raw materials.
The range covers 4 basic sizes and around 10 elements for different finishes. The largest stacking block measures 160L x 80W x 40H. Click here for the full range.
"We have invested a great deal of time and money to be able to develop and launch a product like BLUEBLOCKS. Our ambition now is to put it at the top of the list for every public and private investor in storage and transhipment areas, recycling centres, product bunkers, partition walls, halls and the like," says Stefan Carmans. "Because this is the most CO2-friendly product on the market, and if we want to hit our climate targets, we have to start using products like this consistently. Actions, not words."
