BLUEBLOCKS are not a stand-alone product. They are the outcome of what Carmans has been doing for decades: building roads, recycling rubble, cleaning contaminated soil - and keeping every step in-house. That integrated way of working, from raw material to finished product on a single site in Lummen, is exactly what sets BLUEBLOCKS apart. Discover the activities that make it possible.
Drawing on more than 50 years of experience, Carmans delivers road construction projects for public and private clients alike – roads, sewers and car parks, always to strict quality standards. Class 6 accreditation and VCA** certified.
Soil that has lost its bearing capacity does not always have to be hauled away. Carmans stabilises and improves it right on the building site, both vertically and horizontally: a cost-efficient alternative that also cuts down on soil transport.
Carmans pioneered construction rubble recycling. Concrete, brick rubble and asphalt are crushed and screened into high-grade aggregates, tested in our own lab and certified under CE, CERTIPRO and/or BENOR. For large volumes, Carmans brings mobile crushing and screening plants to your site.
Carmans' computer-controlled concrete plant is among the most modern of its kind. It links the recycled raw materials to the finished product and is the place where BLUEBLOCKS are born.
Carmans Aannemingen delivers a broad range of infrastructure and earthworks for public authorities, industry and property developers. Thorough know-how and a modern fleet of machinery guarantee efficient execution, with close attention to safety, planning and quality.
At Carmans, contaminated soil is not a problem but a raw material in the making. Depending on the type and degree of contamination, we use one of three remediation techniques:
Carmans processes a wide range of contaminated mineral waste streams: street sweepings, sewage sludge, gully sand, car wash sludge, filter sand and sand from oil-water separators. Waste that counts as a problem elsewhere is turned into reusable material here.
